Marvel Studios’ The Marvels will feature Brie Larson returning to the role of Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers. With The Marvels' release still far away, not much is known about the cast or plot. The last of this group to be released will be The Marvels, which will follow up 2019’s Captain Marvel. Next year’s slate will arguably be more packed than this year's, as all four installments will be highly-anticipated sequels. After forgoing any theatrical releases in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the MCU is looking to return to cinemas in 2021 with a loaded lineup that starts with Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals. On Monday, Marvel dropped a sizzle reel that featured new footage and confirmed release dates for a host of forthcoming Phase 4 films, including Captain Marvel 2, which is officially titled The Marvels, referring to its multiple heroes with “Marvel” in their names.
