Bought an old Windows XP laptop specifically for use with the software, which apparently also runs unmodified on Windows 7 32-bit. – Worked fine on a 2013 Lexus for my primary purpose of registering another key fob. Well built product, arrived quickly, and did what it is designed to do. If you use a newer version of Windows, it can be done but you will have to go to the internet to find help on this.

I set it up on a old Windows XP laptop easily.

The directions to set up the driver and software (included) were a bit unorganized but was all there. I used it to program a Toyota to recognize a newly added factory remote starter assembly. Can anyone provide a CD with or a downloadable file with the Mini VCI driver for Techstream 10.10.018 or 10.20.030? Or ANY driver that is known to work with the J2534 cable? So far, I bought 2 Mini VCI cables over a period of a month, and each time the driver that came on the CD had embedded Trojan. Great news, the Techstream TIS software for the MINI-VCI Interface cable now works with 64 bit Windows operating systems and has been tested on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. – Works exactly as stated to connect to a Toyota ECU and diagnose/program it. – I give it 4 stars because it really works great, but it is not super user-friendly (granted, it is not designed for the layperson). Because the installation of the software on a Win7 64-bit machine is SOOOOO tricky, I would strongly recommend the average computer user not even attempt it. I would not recommend this to anyone who does not feel comfortable screwing around with something potentially unsafe. I even installed on my laptop running Win7 64-bit following the instructions (and some tweaking) found here – This is NOT the easiest thing in the world to install, setup, and understand if you’re not an auto tech guy. I was also able to shorten the dome-light time upon exit/entry, as well as turn off the seatbelt reminder chime (hey, I’m a big boy now - I KNOW I’m supposed to wear my seatbelt!). Instructions were a bit vague, but poking around the internet (especially ) got me on the right track. – Worked for my 2014 Toyota Sequoia, primarily to register a new key and a new alarm remote fob.

Mini Vci J2534 Driver Windows 10 Update.I am not sure what models it works for buy I know Tacoma and 4runner are supported. I would recommend this tool to anyone who owns a Toyota vehicle. As a note, which is not specified anywhere else that I have seen, you can perform a Zero Point Calibration using this tool, I had some issues with VSC lights coming on, and was able to do the ZPC with this and cleared them out. THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: FAKE mini vci HQ mini vci cable: Toyota TIS Techstream V12.20.024 download: (not tested yet) TOYOTA Techstream V12.20.024 activation: mini vci with techstream 12.10.019: (tested, 100% working) Review of mini-vci j2534 cable: – Works great, I can change things on my 4runner very easily.

The physical interface looks like a standard OBDII and according to this advertisement it supports the following protocols: K-Line ISO 90-4 SAE J1850 PWM SAE J1850 VPW CAN 2.0B ISO 11898 CAN ISO 15765-4 On the face, this just looks like a standard OBDII adapter. My horn no longer works since the plug is no longer connected, and I will feel better about a more sure connection between the switch and wires. What is: Toyota diagnostic connectors, and ran across something called a Mini VCI adaptor meant for use with Toyota’s TechStream software.

Daox did the hard part in making the kit and deciphering the software, Thanks Daox!!ĮDIT: I am going to splice my wires from Daox kit to the yellow and brown wires under the steering column. The guy deserves it and I'm going to enable a few more options eg foglights. I was so happy with the results though, that I did buy five extra request from the etacs site. I went through Daox tutorial and enabled the etacs settings and now have cruise control!!! I did not have to pay to do this. Having done all that it would function with out a 10 minute wait everytime I clicked a button! I had to get a new battery ($13) add 1GB of memory ($7) so it would operate faster, and clean the system to get rid of years of useless programs that were hogging resources.

The old win XP 32 bit computer I borrowed/was given to me, needed work. Finally got to work on the software part of the install.
